Freehub Photo Book and other Media Projects

When photographer Ryan Creary contacted myself for a multi-page photo assignment on Revelstoke and for the images to be featured in the inaugural Freehub Photo Book, there was little hesitation - I was in.

Freehub is one of my favorite publications, Ryan Creary is one of my favorite mountain photographers and there's a reason I've been calling Revelstoke home for a decade plus ... (the alpine riding here is amazing)!

To capture and share the place I call home with a quality publication and photographer, I was stoked.

Some of my favorite shots ...

I'll never get tired of the Keystone Trail North of RevelstokeAnother Favorite Place - Keystone Trail north of Revelstoke

Those who know me well know I stay up in the alpine as looooong as I can. This is common for me for the ride down.I've been know to ride out in the dark with just this little headlamp more than once.  Next to sunrise, being in the alpine for sunset is one of my favorite things ... even if it means riding out in the dark.

Riding in the trees is cool too Riding in the valley bottom is pretty cool too, especially with trails like Flow Down.

There is 10 or so more pages of shots with myself and Matt Yaki from Wandering Wheels. To see the rest of our Revelstoke images and images from photographer Garrett Grove, Bruno Long and Keri Medig with their respected riders, grab yourself a copy.  It captures the essence of the BC Interior.

Silver Star Bike Park Ad Campaign

Silver Star Mountain Bike Park is where I qualified for my first Pro World Cup Dual Slalom and where I was dual crowned Canadian National and Overall Canada Cup Series Champ, we have quality bike history.  (It's even where I strapped on my first set of DH skis)  Stoked to see an image from Rowan Thorton Photography on a billboard for the Bike Park at Kelowna International Airport this summer.  I had seen the image for various online ads and other more action shots were also used for their brochure, etc.  My sister was the first one to send me this shot as I unknowingly welcomed her home from one of her many adventurous trips.

BikeMag.com and Grind TV
A good shot is a good shot and they seem to get used more than once.

The below image first appeared in print well over a year ago in Bike Magazine.  It resurfaced this summer in an article for BikeMag.com, Finding Perspective with Bruno Long.  The article and image was also used for a piece with a Grind TV.
